Snow also stated that Morby is actively involved in serving the local community. He currently serves as a member of the Dixie College Foundation Board as well as the Southwest Symphony Concert Board.

“We are fortunate to have Mr. Morby as part of the shareholder team,” Snow said. “We offer him our congratulations for attaining this significant milestone in his career.”

JensenBayles - Can I Prevent My Children from Fighting Over My Personal Assets After I Die?

Phillip G. Gubler and Thomas J. Bayles
Chances are, you own items of personal property that have monetary and sentimental value, such as jewelry, antiques, art, heirlooms, furniture, and sporting goods that you want a certain child, grandchild, relative, friend, charity, or other organization to receive after your death.
Perhaps you are not concerned about the distribution of certain items, but would like harmony in the way distributions are made and want to provide for some orderly way for your belongings to be divided after you are gone to avoid the horror stories that you have heard.  Frequently, experience in your own family about heirs fighting over sentimental items, such as Grandma’s silverware, jewelry, or china cabinet motivates a person to plan.
We would like to outline some suggestions that may help prevent this from happening in your family.
Make A Special Gifts List: Make a list for the distribution of certain special personal property gifts you would like to have made to a specific person after your death.  Such lists can be included as part of your estate planning documents and are typically referred to by your will or revocable trust.  To prevent disagreements about your intentions, be very specific. Sign and date the list, and keep it with your estate planning documents.  The list can be changed by you at any time by making a new list and destroying the old list.
Ask What They Want:  An item may have special meaning to someone so ask your children and others if there is a specific item they would like to have.  You can then include this item on your list of gifts.
Make Gifts Now: Consider making a gift now if there are items that you no longer use, or if you are concerned there might be a problem later.  You can provide information and referee distribution now by gathering your children together and have them take turns selecting items they want.  A side benefit of this approach is you have the pleasure of watching the recipient enjoy the gift while you are alive.

BENJA’S TO HOST HOLIDAY DINNER AND A MOVIE EVENT PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED TO BUILD A GREENHOUSE IN PERU

BENJA’S TO HOST HOLIDAY DINNER AND A MOVIE EVENT
PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED TO BUILD A GREENHOUSE IN PERU

Following a winter of record snowfall and devastation in the Andes Mountains, Hear Walk Foundation will deliver supplies in May 2014 and help build greenhouse gardens for the Q’ero people of Peru.

Join with Benja and “Heart of the Andes” filmmaker, Melynda Thorpe Burt, at this special fundraising dinner where all proceeds will go toward assisting the Heart Walk Foundation greenhouse project. Enjoy a screening of the film and an exclusive menu designed by Sushi chef Alex Peterson for this event. Cost is $20 per person, $10 for children 12 and under.

According to Alex Peterson, sushi chef and manager at Benja’s Thai Garden, “Our goal is to fund an entire greenhouse for the mountain people in Peru,” he said. “We are excited to support a cause with local roots that is helping make a long-lasting difference for people in another part of the world.”

Filmed on location in Peru in 2012, “Heart of the Andes” tells the story of the international humanitarian organization Heart Walk Foundation based in southern Utah. Cofounders Tim and Penelope Eicher (Tim is a DSU professor and Penelope a mental health therapist) learned of the plight of the Q'ero Tribes living high in the Andes Mountains while they were traveling in Peru ten years ago.
This event takes place December 10th, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. Benja’s Thai Garden is located at 435 N. 1680 E #14 St. George, Utah. Don't miss this opportunity to give a meaningful and long-lasting gift. Help make a miracle happen this holiday season!
