SHARING SUCCESS PROGRAM EXPANDS TO SOUTHERN UTAH

"Sharing Success,” a charitable contribution program, has expanded its investment within our southern Utah communities.  Dixie Escalante Electric Foundation and CoBank, located in Greenwood Village, Colorado, have donated $10,000 to the Erin Kimball Memorial Foundation to be used for transitional housing for homeless families fleeing family violence.

LaDel Laub, CEO of Dixie Escalante Electric along with Mike Brown, Board Chair and Rebecca Jensen, Trustee, presented the check.  “We are happy to be able to invest in a program that makes a critical difference for some of our most vulnerable neighbors,” stated Mr. Laub.  The Erin Kimball Memorial Foundation provides a bridge from emergency shelters to self-sufficient independence and has provided over 200,000 nights of shelter in apartment settings and empowerment services for 587 women and children..

“The timing was perfect,” stated Sue Kimball, Executive Director of the organization.  “With ongoing federal and state funding cuts we need and appreciate the support of our community.”

“Shared success has always been a hallmark of  the cooperative business model,”  Robert Engel, President and CEO of CoBank, stated, “and it has been a pleasure to work with Dixie Escalante Electric to provide value to their members and improve the quality of life in their local communities.”
