St. George Exchange Club Gives Proceeds from Garage Sale to Local Charity

The local St. George Exchange Club teamed up with the Canyonlands Chapter of Thrivent's for Lutherans to host a community yard sale with all the funds going to the local Solomon's Porch's Sunday Noon Dinner for the homeless in our area. There are other Homeless Shelters in our community but no one is open for meals during the weekend, so the local Solomon's Porch Foursquare Fellowship stepped up and began to offer a noon meal on Sunday for the homeless. They will usually feed between 40 to 70 people each Sunday following their regular worship services.

In addition to raising over $1,050 at the Yard Sale the local Canyonlands Chapter matched $450, so the total contribution to Solomon's porch Foursquare church was $1500. Presenting the money to the Foursquare Fellowship was left to right Bobbi Butka from the Canyonlands, Jimi Kestin from Solomon's Porch, Brett Labrum, president of the St. George Exchange Club and Neal Smith, club member and Board member of the Canyonlands Chapter of Thrivent for Lutherans.
The local Exchange Club was instrumental in organizing the yard sale and advertising it to the community for a very successful event!
