St. George, UT, January 19, 2012 — John Berger, a Santa Clara native and a graduate of Dixie State College, has joined the law firm of Dixon, Truman, Fisher, and Clifford, according to an announcement by Ron Truman, a partner in the firm.
The move represents a return home for Berger, who earned his law degree at the University of Kansas Law School where he served as associate editor of the law review. In Kansas, he prosecuted more than 100 cases as a licensed intern for the Johnson County District Attorney’s office. He also worked as a judicial clerk in the city of Topeka.
“My goal has always been to return to my friends and family here in southern Utah,” Berger said, “so I naturally jumped at the chance to become part of Dixon, Truman, Fisher and Clifford, a law firm known for fighting to ensure that justice is done for the clients they serve.” Berger, who also brings significant banking and lending experience to the firm, will focus on business and construction litigation, criminal law, and family law.
Ron Truman commented that Berger’s breadth of experience, his accomplishments in law school, and the fact that he grew up here and knows the community, made him an obvious choice for the firm. “We are pleased that John Berger has chosen to join us in our effort to serve the legal needs of the citizens of southern Utah,” Truman said.
Berger and his wife, Natalie, have one daughter, Kate, and are expecting another soon.
